I truly do believe God is blessing those that truly believe in His power. He’s doing the impossible for those that truly believe. He’s answering those impossible prayers. He’s blessing those that believe what He has promised he would do.
I just believe God has blessings for those who believe in Him and His power when things are good and bad. He has so many blessings for His believers that’s stored away for the right time and even ready to give now.
Below are a few stories about people who believed:
There was a believer in Joppa named Tabitha (which in Greek is Dorcas ). She was always doing kind things for others and helping the poor. About this time she became ill and died. Her body was washed for burial and laid in an upstairs room. But the believers had heard that Peter was nearby at Lydda, so they sent two men to beg him, “Please come as soon as possible!” But Peter asked them all to leave the room; then he knelt and prayed. Turning to the body he said, “Get up, Tabitha.” And she opened her eyes! When she saw Peter, she sat up! He gave her his hand and helped her up. Then he called in the widows and all the believers, and he presented her to them alive. Acts of the Apostles 9:36-38, 40-41 NLT
Here we have a woman who was a known believer. She died and the other believers called on some help from Peter. When Peter arrived, he prayed and told the woman to get up and that's exactly what she did. She had life again in her body. She was alive. I think this is just a benefit of being a believer. The part that says "but the believers" really catches my eye every time I read it. What if they had just accepted that she was dead and there was nothing that could be done? She would have just been dead. BUT because they were believers they knew something could be done. They believed this woman could live again so they reached out to Peter. I wonder how many things or situations in our lives could live again if we just believe! I dare you to believe. If only you believe, you will see the many blessings that come from believing.
Then some Jews arrived from Antioch and Iconium and won the crowds to their side. They stoned Paul and dragged him out of town, thinking he was dead. But as the believers gathered around him, he got up and went back into the town. The next day he left with Barnabas for Derbe. Acts of the Apostles 14:19-20 NLT
Then some Jews from Antioch and Iconium caught up with them and turned the fickle crowd against them. They beat Paul unconscious, dragged him outside the town and left him for dead. But as the disciples gathered around him, he came to and got up. He went back into town and the next day left with Barnabas for Derbe. Acts 14:19-20 MSG
I like this scripture a lot because to me it just sounds like Paul took a good few stones. Lol. I literally just imagine him in the ground balled up a little with blood all over him. I can imagine that he was looking pretty dead considering in the scripture they thought he was dead and in the MSG version it says they beat him unconscious. When it goes on to say the believers gathered around him, Paul got up and went back to town. The fact that we read he got up and went back into town has my mind blown.
It sounds like Paul didn't need any help getting up or walking back to town. I feel like it would have been stated that the believers helped him up just as they told us about Peter helping the believer up in the last story. Those are just my observations though. Back to the story though...You can't tell me that the power that the believers had when they gathered around Paul wasn't what helped this man come to and get up. And that is on top of how much of a believer Paul was. I just believe that what we just read was a benefit of being a believer. It was a blessing for a believer.
“You are blessed because you believed that the Lord would do what he said.” For he took notice of his lowly servant girl, and from now on all generations will call me blessed. For the Mighty One is holy, and he has done great things for me. He shows mercy from generation to generation to all who fear him. His mighty arm has done tremendous things! He has scattered the proud and haughty ones. He has brought down princes from their thrones and exalted the humble.” Luke 1:45, 48-52 NLT
I wanted to refer to this conversation between Elizabeth and Mary because we see them witness to what I've been saying through this entire post. There are blessings for those who believe. You are blessed when you believe.
When you are a believer, there are blessings just for you. Your belief doesn't go unnoticed. Your belief in God and His power isn't for nothing. There are benefits from believing that you will experience not only in Heaven but here on Earth as well. We serve a great God who believes in blessing and taking care of His children.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank you for a new day to believe in you and your power. God I ask that you will touch your children that's struggling to believe in your existence or even the ability of your power working in their personal lives. Allow their hearts to be encouraged to believe in you. God I've seen you move in my life and I know that you are more than able to move in others. Let your people see the benefits of believing in you. When they get weak on their journey and want to give up, speak to them immediately through your word. Touch their minds and allow them to remember what you have already done and that you are able to do it again. In Jesus Name, Amen.
